This is a career-document tool. You give us a resume, we help you tailor it, and we keep it in your private account so your next application is faster. This page explains exactly what that means, in plain language.

What we store

  • Your original resume file, in private storage that only your account can read.
  • Text extracted from that resume, after we remove the sensitive patterns listed below.
  • Your career profile — licenses, certifications, employers, roles, skills, and clinical systems that we found in your resume or that you confirmed yourself.
  • Job descriptions you paste and the resume versions we generate for them.
  • A processing history — that a file was uploaded, that text was extracted, that a resume was generated. This records that steps happened, not what your documents say.

What we remove before storing or processing

Before extracted text is saved anywhere, and before it is sent to an AI model, we automatically remove patterns that look like Social Security numbers, full dates of birth, and bank, routing, or account numbers. You do not need these on a resume, so we take them out.

Saving happens automatically

After you consent at your first upload, we save your uploads, profile, drafts, and versions to your private account automatically as you work. We will not email you or send you notifications just because something saved — you will only see a small status indicator near your resume.

Do not upload patient information

Never upload patient records, charts, or any patient information. NurseCareerShift AI is not a clinical system. We do not claim HIPAA compliance, and this product is not designed or certified to hold protected health information.

AI processing

We send your redacted resume text and the job description you paste to a third-party AI provider to extract structured facts and draft resume wording. We do not train models on your documents, and we do not permit our provider to do so.

Who can see your data

You. We do not sell your data, share it with recruiters or employers, or make your profile searchable. If we ever add a feature that shares something on your behalf, it will be something you explicitly choose, each time.

Deleting your data

Settings has a Delete my data action. It removes your database records and the files in your private storage. After that completes, we do not keep your documents or their extracted content in normal application storage. Limited operational records — for example, billing or security logs we are required to keep — may persist, and they do not contain your resume content.

Settings also has Download my data, which exports what we hold about you.
